Angel Locsin make a movie in Indonesia

Sexy actress Angel Locsin is offered to make a movie in Jakarta, Indonesia. The movie  is directed by a director of Indonesia and produced by the Philippine producer based in Jakarta, will make movie-themed 'horror-romance genre'. Angel will be paired with actor Indonesia from Jakarta.

The movie will be shot entirely in Jakarta, and that her lines will require her to speak in English, Filipino, as well as Bahasa Jakarta. A dialogue coach is said to have been promised to guide the actress.

Angel has already read the gist of the story and has requested for a script. Although it is yet to be announced if the actress has accepted the offer, Angel seems keen on doing the movie, which should begin shooting in July.

The Filipino producer, who was not named in the report, said in her interview that Angel is well-known in Indonesia, just like balladeer Christian Bautista, who has sold numerous records and plays lead in the Indonesian film "Jayden's Choir." Angle's series “Imortal” with John Lloyd Cruz, the producer said, has gained a strong following in her country.

Aware that Angel is one of the busiest stars in Philippine show business---juggling challenging roles in “Imortal” and in her movie with Aga Muhlach and Jake Cuenca---the producer nevertheless hopes that Angel will be able to join the still-untitled film.

Angel’s talent was recognized internationally in 2009 with a nomination for Best Actress at the 37th International Emmy Awards for her portrayal of she-wolf Lyka Ortega on “Lobo.”

Meanwhile, Angel is said to have been spotted last March 27 with Azkals striker Phil Younghusband at a restaurant in Serendra, The Fort. According to PEP Scoopbox, the two attended worship service at Victory Christian Fellowship within the vicinity. Phil is also said to have hitched a ride with Angel.

Following Phil’s much-talked about Twitter date proposal to Angel last February, the two have admitted in separate interviews that they have gone out a few other times.

The Waiheke Island International Jazz Festival

Preparations for the Waiheke Island International Jazz Festival are full steam ahead after a five-year musical lull at Easter.

The island hasn't hosted a jazz festival since 2006 and event director John Quigley says this new three-day festival is Auckland's only big event on the musical calendar over Easter weekend.

Mr Quigley, a founding member of popular jazz band Nairobi Trio and Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand music department head, is preparing to give jazz fans a ''fantastic time''. He says the new-look festival programme gives ticket holders more choice of performance times, with day and weekend passes, and a series of evening and one-off concerts. ''We've completely re-jigged the programme to include one-off events like the Good Friday Groove at Rangihoua Estate and an exclusive event for Super Gold Card holders.''

Nearly 20 acts will perform at four venues  The Dunes in Onetangi, Waiheke Island Resort in Palm Beach, Rangihoua Estate on O'Brien and a new venue in the front section of the  old harbourmaster's building at Matiatia called The Bay. Performers will include Denmark's Dixieland Gipsy Band, sultry singer Shaynee Rainbolt from New York and guitar ace Jonas Julio, who was recently spotted at the Java Jazz Festival in Jakarta by Mr Quigley and Nairobi Trio when they played alongside him.

''He was just astounding  so young and uniquely gifted,'' Mr Quigley says.

The programme also includes top names on the New Zealand jazz scene such as Nathan Haines, The Jews Brothers Band, Graham Wardrop, Caitlin Smith and the Grand Central Band, as well as Waiheke performers. Nairobi Trio is also on the music menu. The venues are fully licensed and will offer a special ''jazz menu'' during performances. Daytime Jazzabout buses will take people to the four venues over the three-day event.  And for those who want to hear jazz in a more relaxed environment,  there are two late night supper clubs at the Resort.

The Waiheke International Jazz Festival takes place from April 22 to April 24. Go to www.waihekejazzfestival.co.nz for a full list of performers and to book tickets

Bebek Goreng H. Slamet

This is one tasty duck! There are several branches of this restaurant originally from Kartosuro spread around in Jakarta, but I can say the Cirendeu branch is one of the best. The place is quite spacious with manyu tables, and also rather secluded huts for a more private feel.

The menu is not too varied, but other than the famous fried duck itself, there are some duck giblets and cakar bebek (duck's feet) that is not very easy on the eyes, but is certainly scrumptious, so maybe you should try it with your eyes closed. If you're not daring type, just order the fried duck. With a dip of famous sambal korek, your face will soon begin to redden and standard sambal sweats will kick in. I can guarantee that.

Nu Son To Shine - Boogiemen

Jakarta Soul Urban soldiers Boogiemen are a good exampleof how Hiphop can be rich, groovy and soulful. It's an urban feel that combines a grown man's taste with wilder word play with a deep bass line. The flow is good on 'Can't Be Better Than This', which could be described as like hearing 90's rap, Maliq & D'essentials pop jazz and Erykah Badu combined. A few other songs on the album fit the bill for a boogie night or two with drinks in hand.

Derived from a bond of friendship and the similarities of music reference, on August 27th 2006 Dana a.k.a. Kyriz (Rap/Beatbox), Theo a.k.a. Tuff Gong (Vocal, Synth Bass, Guitar), dan Iyay a.k.a. Thriller (Bagpipe/Backing Vocal), agreed on forming a Hip Hop based concept which they finally call Boogiemen. Their career started with performances and/or gigs on campus events as well as various popular hangouts in Bandung.

Boogiemens unique concept of music was able to attract the attention of the Indonesian crowd and listeners as well as many Indonesian music industry insiders. Thus in a relatively short period of time, Boogiemen was able to expand its music horizon to events such as: Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival, Soulnation Festival, Sunburst Music Festival in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Urban Jazz Crossover, Maliq & DEssentials sophmore album (Free Your Mind), Soulvibes premiere album (Soulvibe) and so on. Early 2008, Boogiemen took a chance on making an even deeper move into the Indonesian music industry.

Under the label Organic Records and Widi Puradiredja as a producer, the album NU SON TO SHINE with its 1st single entitled Last Call was released in mid-2009 and is ready to please music listeners all over Indonesia. Hip Hop, RnB, Soul, Jazz, Funk, Pop, Rock, and many other music influences became the energy which unites Boogiemens music to the Organic Sound. And so, although deriving from Hip Hop as the core and biggest influence, to simply call Boogiemens music a Hip Hop album would not do justice to represent the crossover music synergy found in it. So guys, listen to the album. Its time for NU SON TO SHINE!

Sajian Sunda Sambara

This Sundanese specialty restaurant has two locations at Jalan Wolter Monginsidi and Jalan Cipete Raya.  The place - unlike other Sundanese eateries, has a modern take on the interior design, but still with a touch of ethnic Sundanese here and there - including the eating utensils. The food is incredibly appetizing, and is served in a classic buffet style. There is no question that the taste of it lives up to expectations. They offer traditional kinds of tasty food such as fish and chicken (fried and roasted), rice dishes, a variety of sambals, and many others. With the melodies of a kecapi suling (Sundanese music instrument), it really feels like you are outside in a rice field enjoying nature while eating. Happily, you will also leave with a full belly and a good taste in you mouth.

The Adventures of Bobby Ray

After a couple of EPs and mixtapes, Bobby Ray has finally raised the bar higher, thanks to his powerful vocals that he's maintained during his long run. Now his 'no genre' style has led to more international recognition, with loads of support from today's big names such Bruno MArs, Hailey Williams (Paramore), Rivers Cuomo (Weezer), Lupe Fiasco, T.I. and Eminem.

Definitely no wannabe, this guy writes, sings, raps and produces his own songs. No surprise then that he's hotly tipped for further international success

B.o.B is one of those kind of hip hop artists that go way beyond the boundaries of usual rappers. The thing that makes B.o.B so special is that his creativeness isn't controlled by what everyone else likes, he likes do things his way. B.o.B is a rapper, singer, musician and producer which basically means that he has control of everything he is doing which is something a lot of rappers can't say. He combines a lot of musical genres such as techno, rock, pop and a little bit of jazz into his music which makes this album very versitile.

This album is a very good debut album, it introduces the listeners to what kind of artist B.o.B is. The album is good in creativeness but there is no real balance to it, it feels like he is experiementing a bit too much because every single track is different (which may be a good thing) but for me is really hard to stay focus to who B.o.B really is. The production on this album is very well done, theres nothing on this album that is too crazy or disjointed, and B.o.B's lyrical ability deserves some credit, he flow can change with the beat very easilt and smooth. The only thing I have a problem with this album is the fact that there is no real balance to the album, there is no real theme, its just a bunch of a really good songs that B.o.B put together.

Lady Antebellum

Lady Antebellum - Need You Now
Perhaps winning a grammy for best album will draw more attention to this three-piece country group, but Lady Antebellum are no newcomers, having enjoyed a long career with pop, country and melodious folk-ballads all strings to their collective bow. Noteworthy single 'Need You Now' is still as popular as ever with continued airplay on the radio.

Somehow their tried and tested unique music formula works for listeners of almost all ages worldwide, and they occupy a similar status to family friendly chartsters Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

Lyrics
Picture perfect memories
Scattered all around the floor
Reaching for the phone 'cause
I can't fight it anymore

And I wonder if I
Ever cross your mind
For me it happens all the time

It's a quarter after one
I'm all alone
And I need you now
Said I wouldn't call
But I've lost all control
And I need you now

And I don't know how
I can do without
I just need you now

Another shot of whiskey
Can't stop looking at the door
Wishing you'd come sweeping
In the way you did before

And I wonder if I
Ever cross your mind
For me it happens all the time

It's a quarter after one
I'm a little drunk
And I need you now
Said I wouldn't call
But I've lost all control
And I need you now

And I don't know how
I can do without
I just need you now

Whoa, whoa
Guess I'd rather hurt
Than feel nothing at all

It's a quarter after one
I'm all alone
And I need you now
And I said I wouldn't call
But I'm a little drunk
And I need you now

And I don't know how
I can do without
I just need you now
I just need you now

Oh baby, I need you now
